Passing of Chris Pugh (Pughy)

It's with a sad and very heavy heart, to write that our beloved Chris Pugh (Pughy) has sadly passed away.

Chris, has been involved with the club for many decades, whether it be through umpiring, coaching, contributing his time to help the club, or sharing a few pints with his many friends down at the club.

We would like to pass on our deepest condolences to Chris's family.

The funeral will take place at Dukinfield Crematorium at 3:30pm on Friday 6th June, followed by a drink at the bottom Astley (Dukinfield). All are welcome.

DCC Signs Rehan Afridi as overseas professional for 2025

Dukinfield CC is delighted to announce the signing of Rehan Afridi as overseas professional for our 2025 season.

Rehan is a Wicket keeper-Batsman with loads of first class experience, and averages just a tick under 31 in First Class Cricket.

He brings with him a wealth of previous UK experience, and will also play a key role in coaching and developing our juniors.

Rehan joins us after having a successful 2024 season with Droylsden, where he amassed 856 runs in all competitions, at an average of just over 37.

Mo joins us after a very successful spell at Cheshire County league side Davenham, including 38 wickets @ 17.63, and 484 runs @ 28.47 last season.

An ex Lancashire 2xl and former England U19 player, Mo comes with great pedigree, and we look forward to having the leg spin all-rounder on board with us this season.

Dukinfield Cricket Club’s Annual Bonfire Event is Back!

This time it’s bigger, and even Better!

After last year’s extraordinary turnout, we have decided to move to a ticket Only event, to avoid disappointment on the day.

This year’s event sees us introduce several external Food/Drink vendors to provide more choice and prevent large queues.*

This year will also see us deploying extra’s Bars including an outside Draught Beer Bar.*

• Gates open at 5:30pm

• Bonfire Lit at 6:30pm

• First Firework display 7:30pm

• Second Firework Display 8:30pm

• Food Vendor and Bars will remain open after Firework display

• Children 0-2 do not require a ticket as they are free.

Please note that tickets will only be sold on the Ticketebo site. Tickets will not be sold via social media or through any other online method.

Tickets will be scanned on the door. If the ticket doesn’t scan, you will be asked to provide identification to prove that you are the ticket holder.

No alcohol, fireworks or sparklers to be brought on-site; We reserve the right to conduct random bag searches and refuse admission if necessary.

2023 Membership Launch

For 2023, the club are revising the membership process.

Previously, membership was a usually a one-off fee paid at the beginning of each season. After this, all training and coaching sessions throughout the year required additional cash payments on the day.

From April 2023 , we switched to a monthly recurring payment scheme for 6 months (July, August, September, October, November, December ) which covers:

Membership fee
Members drinks prices
Eligibility for selection
Junior Training Sessions
